Blog Name

I need a new blog name, but I can't think of anything. I want something cute and creative. Rachel's Ramblings is just too simple and slightly boring.. I don't know.. it's time for some change around here. Anyone have any ideas? I'm having a major brain fart right now. Usually I can come up with stuff like this easily, but for some reason, I'm broken today. Haha.

These are a few of my favorite things..

I've been kinda stressed out over some stupid stuff the past week or two, so I've been trying to think of things that make me happy whenever I'm about to explode, just to keep my mind off everything. I started off making a mental list, but then it kept getting longer and longer, so I figured I'd write down what I could think of. Here are my top 50, in no particular order :D

1. Laughing so hard you start to cry

2. My family

3. The smell of homemade bread

4. Anything bright and colorful

5. Sitting by the fire first thing in the morning during winter

6. Snuggies

7. Music that seems like it was made just for me

8. Being in nature - when its not a billion degrees outside

9. Anything crafty

11. When someone truly smiles - the kind of smile that you can see in their eyes that brightens anything around

Hair Flowers

I've been making these cute hair flowers for a while, more than I can use. So, I decided to start selling them. If anyone wants any or knows of people who would want some, I'm going to be putting them up on Etsy within the next few days. A few of the flowers are completely done, but I ran out of clips. I ordered some on Monday, so once they get here, they'll all be done and I can put them up for sale. So check my Etsy shop within the next few days and they should be up. The prices range from $3-$5. Please spread the word!

Pioneer Trek 2010

I had the amazing opportunity to go on Trek last week. It was the most awesome thing I've ever done in my life! My Trek family got along perfectly, they were all so much fun. Even pulling the handcarts was fun, thought it was insanely hard, and I ended up hurting my hip pretty bad. The spirit was so strong through the whole trip. It helped me to truly understand what the pioneers went through, or at least a sliver of what they experienced. These are just the pictures of getting off the bus and stuff, but hopefully I'll be getting a CD with the pictures that were taken during the Trek because we weren't allowed to take pictures. 

HAHA! I love this picture!! It's like the epitome of our friendship.

It's kinda sad that I look better in a picture with him where I haven't showered in 4 days than in one at graduation... I really like this one though :)

MLIA

I don't know if you've heard of this website or not, but I'm addicted. It's called My Life is Average. It's basically where people go and post stories, usually funny or awkward, that have happened to them. Some of them probably aren't true, but they still make me laugh nonetheless. Anyway, a while back I made a bucket list, and one thing on it was to get a story published to this website. Well, guess what! It happened :D Haha. It was a nice surprise this morning. The stories usually take a month or two to get published, so this didn't literally happen today, just FYI. So yeah, I'm pretty excited! I can finally cross something off my bucket list.

GOODBYE HIGH SCHOOL!!

Yeah, that's right! I'm officially done with high school FOREVER! It's so insane! It still doesn't really feel like I'm not going back. I don't feel like an adult yet. But I am EXTREMELY excited that I NEVER have to go back to Liberty ever again. I'm so ready to move on. Life starts now - bring it on!

So, here is my very last final ASL song for my high school career. Sad day! But I had so much fun doing it! I hope everyone enjoys it! :D

Senior Pictures

I finally got my senior pictures back! I am SO happy with how they turned out! Kathy Scoffield did an absolutely FANTASTIC job! It was so fun to get them done by her. She really had a creative eye and knew how to make a picture look good. These are some of my favorites of the ones she took. I LOVE them! I just wish my hair would have been a little more cooperative. Oh well. If you like them and are interested, there's a link to her website in the sidebar. Miss Lexi

I felt like doing a shoot last week, so I took Lexi out to Rio Vista to take some updated pictures. I had so much fun! She was wearing bright, bold colors which looked amazing in contrast to the not so bright colors of the desert and deadish grass. She is such a ham and is extremely photogenic. I love taking pictures of her!

Also, if anyone is looking for someone to take their pictures (family, singles, or anything else), I would love to do it! I don't have the best quality of camera, so it's not exactly professional quality. I kinda want to just get out there and get some experience and be able to experiment around with new ideas. I would only charge $20 for a session, and you'll get all of the pictures. Don't hesitate to leave a comment if you're interested :D
