Wow! Lucky Shot!

When Zeke was done eating last night, I was taking pictures to show how much fatter he's gotten. I didn't even realize that I caught his re-adjusting his jaw [or "yawning"] until I looked at the picture a few minutes after I took it. How lucky was that?

Gus

This is our puppy, Gus. He is a soft-coated wheaton terrier. The first picture is him doing one of his tricks. It's the same thing as "beg" but we call it "ask".

Me + Boredom = ......

See, when I get bored, there's no saying what I'm gonna do. Sometimes I take pictures of random things. Sometimes I give myself a fohawk. I swear, for some reason I do weird things when I get bored. Anyway, I thought this was a cool picture, even though it's only a chair.

This is Snowfire..

He is a 1 year old snow corn snake. He's about 2 feet long and he eats a baby mouse ever Sunday.

This is Sheila..

He [yes, he - when we bought him and Boomer, we got them mixed up because they look so much alike] is a corn snake. He's about 2 years old, 44 inches long, and he eats a medium mouse every Sunday.

Calendar

I got the cutest calendar for Christmas. This is my favorite picture in it.

Another gift from India..

My dad also got me this cute little stone elephant from India. It has another smaller elephant inside of it, and another one inside of the one inside, but you can't really see it.

Zeke

Hello everyone! I'm starting this blog because I'm kinda getting bored with posting just one picture on a post. So, on this one, I'm going to take all of the best pictures out of my little photo-sessions. This post is kind of a mini photo session, but I thought I'd still post it. This is Zeke, my 4 year old ball python. He is about 4 and a half feet long, and he eats one rat every Sunday.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE snakes?

My dad goes to India sometimes for business trips, and he always brings back gifts for everyone. This past trip he brought home this AMAZING stone snake. I think it is so awesome! The detail on it is so cool. I always wonder how long it would take to make something like that.

Jesse

Jesse was chillin out on the benches outside today, and I just had to take a picture. She and gus had just been going insane, and they were both resting outside. Gus was laying in the grass, enjoying the wind.

Nothing too special..

We got these little fire lamp things for my seminary party at the end of the year. I don't know why, but I think they're so cute. I like this picture.

Zeke update..

I am so happy! About a month ago, I finally got Zeke to eat, after being deprived of food for almost 5 months. Ever since then he's eaten once a week, every time I offer him a rat. Last time I fed him, when I lifted up his hide box, I noticed that he had shed. I was so excited; it was the first shed he's had with us that was ALMOST in one piece. I was kinda shocked when I saw it, because I had looked at him a few days earlier, and he was just BARELY going into the "blue" phase, where their eyes turn blue and their bodies are VERY dull. Last time he shed, he was in blue for AT LEAST a week, and this time he went in and out of blue in a matter of days. Him shedding is also a sign that he's growing which is just what we want to know. He's doing so good now. He's not nearly as skinny as he used to be, and his eyes have totally cleared up. They used to be really wrinkled and dry, but now they're glossy and moist. I am so relieved!

Splish Splash..

Lexi was over about a week ago, and Heather and Spencer were going to a wedding reception, so we gave her a bath. She was STINKY! But she was being SO cute, she kept trying to drink the water out of the faucet and she made really weird faces. It was adorable. I love her big blue eyes. They're so pretty.

Good-Bye Braces!!!!

Hello straight teeth! WOO HOO! The braces are FINALLY off! It feels so weird, it's like i just need scrub my teeth for a few hours to get the sliminess to go away. It's even worse when I put my retainers on, because they're the plastic ones. They make my teeth feel HUGEMONGOUS!! Sorry the picture quality is so bad.. I took it with my phone.

Jungles

Hey everybody! This picture is kind of old, but I don't remember ever posting it. Around 2 months ago we took a trip to the vet, Dr. Funk, for our ball python, Zeke. At one of our previous visits, Dr. Funk told us that he breeds Jungle Corn Snakes, which are Corn snake / California King snake hybrids. He also told us that if we called a few days in advance, he would bring a few of them in for us, and that's exactly what we did. This is only one of them -he brought three - but I think it's absolutely gorgeous! He only brought in albino Jungle corns, but they are just as beautiful as regular Jungles. I was shocked when he told me that he was selling them for only $75. Corn snakes are usually not very expensive, but I just assumed that they would be a lot more expensive, seeing as they're hybrids. I would gladly buy one from him! He has a post set up every year at the Tucson Reptile Expo for anyone who wants to know. I went with my family and friends last year and it was so much fun! Anyway, I just thought I'd share this with you guys!

P.S. I know I've been kind of lazy about posting stuff lately, but since it's summer, I'll probably be posting a lot more often. In fact, I should be posting tomorrow again, because I've got something INCREDIBLY exciting happening to me, but I'll keep that a secret for now. ;-)

Just shed..

Hey guys! I just wanted to post some pictures to show off Sheila. These pictures were taken just after he shed. Isn't he GORGEOUS? He's getting so big too! I just measured him today and he's 3 foot 8! 4 more inches and he'll be 4 feet! =D
P.S. His name really is Sheila. When we got him and Boomer, we must have gotten them mixed up. They looked so much alike when they were little. We knew one was a boy and one was a girl, because we got both of them to breed to each other [which we're doing this year].

Trip to the zoo.

My family and I took a trip to the Wildlife World Zoo for Memorial Day on monday. It was so fun to finally see all the animals that Kim works with. She comes home everyday she works with some new story to share about tons of different animals. My personal favorite was Buddy, a ground hornbill, I believe. He was so cute! Kim called his name and he just came running over to us. He acts so much bigger than he is. It was really cute too; when he came over to the fence, Kim grabbed his beak and he just started to wiggle. I guess that's their way of saying they're happy. It was so cute.
Sorry, it's not the best picture. It's kinda dark.
