Whoa baby, almost 3 months with no posts!

Haha. Mostly because I didn't have a very good camera. But I guess now I don't have any excuse NOT to post pictures. I just got a Nikon D40 for Christmas today. I made them smaller so it wouldn't make the page huge. Just click on them if you want to see them bigger. And if you want to see anymore, just leave a comment saying so. Enjoy =]

I'm lazy, I know..

Long time no see, right? Haha. I almost forgot I even had a blog for a little while there. Thank heavens my sister brought it up. Anyway, I have TONS of pictures to show, but I'm gonna put them on my photo blog, so be sure to check there. I just got a Nikon D40 [a digital slr] today for Christmas and I've already taken over 300 pictures. Haha. And the day isn't even over yet ;]. There won't be much of an explanation on my photo blog, but there will DEFINITELY be a ot of pictures, so that'll make up for it. Enjoy! =]

Wow!

So, yeah.. It's been a while! You probably think I've like disappeared off the face of the earth! Well, I've been keeping myself busy, what with school and Kim's wedding plans and everything. Anyway, I have a few more pictures on my other computer but This is all I have for now. We went to the temple last week for Heather and Spencer's sealing, and I got this picture of the back of the temple. I tried to get the front, but there was always someone standing in front of it. But yeah, here it is!
Enjoy =D

Long time no post..

Wow! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while - school is keeping me pretty dang busy. Anyway, we were out taking pictures in photo today, and my group got done early so I was messing around with my camera. There's a setting on it where you can select a color and change it into a different color, and this is how it turned out. I thought it was cool. Just thought I'd share.
Enjoy =D

Jane

Here's Jane. I named her after a vampire in New Moon. She is a jungle corn snake [a corn snake and california kingsnake hybrid].

Jane

Hey everyone! This is Jane. My family and my cousin and I went to the Tucson reptile show, and ETS [ empty tank syndrome] proved to be real again. We ran into our herp. vet, Dr. Funk, and he was selling some of his albino jungle corn snakes, which is a corn snake and a california kingsnake hybrid. They were only $45, and I already had an ampty tank, so I bought her. She is so pretty. I'll post some more picturs of her on My Photo Blog so check it out if you want to see more.

Pep Rally

Oh my goodness. Our school's first assembly EVER was today. It was the pep rally. It was surprisingly fun! I was expecting it to be really stupid, but it really wasnt at all. I know it's hard to see the picture [it's blurry, I know] but this is a picture of a few of the guy teachers at my shcool that were pretending to be cheerleaders. It was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen. I got a few videos of it, but you can't hear the music they're dancing to so it's not as funny as it was in real life. All I can say is that I am SOOOO glad I brought my camera today. =]

Photo Assignment

Ok, so I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but I've got plenty of pictures to show you today. Our photo assignment this week was to take 36 pictures using different methods [i.e. Lines, Thirds, Texture, etc]. These ones are just some of my favorites. Enjoy =]

Palm Tree

This is a half-dead palm tree in ouy backyard. Our photo assignment for this week was to take 36 pictures of tons of different things - this is one of my favorites out of the ones I've taken so far. I posted some other ones on My Photo Blog, so if you want to, then check them out.

You can't stop the heat..

Well, this had been a kinda interesting weekend. My mom and I were the only ones in town in our family so on saturday night, we went and saw Hairspray [that's where i got the name of this post - kind of]. It was so awesome. Then on Sunday we went up to prescott for the day, and when we got back our air conditioner was broken. It's not going to be fixed until tomorrow. Anyway, I went into my room today to change into some basketball shorts because jeans were too hot, and I think Sheila got a little bit too hot because he was squeezed into his water bow - poor thing. Zeke is hanging outside of his hide too. I feel so bad - It's gotta be so hot in those closed cages. I just thought I'd share our fun weekend and this funny picture. Enjoy =]

Kim's ring

For anyone who doesn't know, my sister, Kim, and Cameron Davis are engaged! This is a picture of her ring. It's kind of hard to see - it's a lot prettier in real life. Their wedding should be on January 5th.

Roscoe

Here's Roscoe. She was being really cute the other day so I tried to get a couple of pictures. The camera was being weird and it wouldn't focus on her, but I got a few good ones. Here's my favorite.

Photo 1

Hey guys! Sorry I havent posted in a while. School started this week so it's been kinda stressful around here. Anyway, my second hour class is Photo 1, and we've already learned a ton of stuff. I got really bored today so I tried out a bunch of stuff. Although I took over 40 pictures, these are my favorites out of all of them. Enjoy =D

Sunset

The sunset was SO beautiful yesterday. I couldn't resist taking a picture. In photo this week we've been learning about different kinds of lighting and stuff like that, so I thought I'd just try out some stuff. Anyway, I thought this one turned out really good so I thought I'd post it.

Such a cutie..

On Saturday, I gave Kolsen a fohawk, and he was being INCREDIBLY cute, so I took a ton of pictures. This one made me laugh just because of the look on his face. The fact that he's pointing makes it so much funnier, too! It kinda looks like he's making fun of the way someone looks. Haha. You can't see the fohawk very well, but if you look at my Photo Blog there are some more pictures.

Here's the incision..

Haha. I'm going to name my left ear Frankenstein. It's so gross. There aren't any stitches, but it's still lumpy like it has stitches. Looks weird, huh? [If it's hard to see, try clicking on the picture to see it full-size. You can see where they had to shave my head too.]

Polka

This is Polka. She's not ours; we're watching her for some friends while they're out of town. She's a leopard gecko. These pictures were taken through her tank which has water spots on it, so that's why the pictures look kind of weird.

Surgery

So, I had my surgery today! I had a hole in my eardrum so they had to go in and cut off the scar tissue around the hole, and then they made a "c" shaped incision around the back of my ear and they took some tissue from there to patch it up. There is some kind of packaging behind and in front of my eardrum which will be there for about 3 weeks, and then I'll get some ear drops to help dissolve it. I can take the bandages off tomorrow morning, and then I'll be able to shower on Wednesday; Hallelujah! The surgery has gone FANTASTIC! Just before I went in, they gave me some kind of medicine that was supposed to help me not be nervous, and I couldn't stop laughing. All I remember was the guy giving me the medicine, and then everything kinda went out of focus and i just thought everything was funny, and the next thing I knew, I was awake. But I feel so good right now. I haven't gotten queasy or anything yet and I'm not dizzy at all anymore. My ear isn't even hurting that bad, it's just uncomfortable; kinda feels like I've got stuff draining out of my ear that I can't clean out. Other then that I feel absolutely amazing! Oh, and please excuse the lack of make up, the messy hair, and the hideous shirt in that picture; I look so gross.
