Polka

This is Polka. She's not ours; we're watching her for some friends while they're out of town. She's a leopard gecko. These pictures were taken through her tank which has water spots on it, so that's why the pictures look kind of weird.

Surgery

So, I had my surgery today! I had a hole in my eardrum so they had to go in and cut off the scar tissue around the hole, and then they made a "c" shaped incision around the back of my ear and they took some tissue from there to patch it up. There is some kind of packaging behind and in front of my eardrum which will be there for about 3 weeks, and then I'll get some ear drops to help dissolve it. I can take the bandages off tomorrow morning, and then I'll be able to shower on Wednesday; Hallelujah! The surgery has gone FANTASTIC! Just before I went in, they gave me some kind of medicine that was supposed to help me not be nervous, and I couldn't stop laughing. All I remember was the guy giving me the medicine, and then everything kinda went out of focus and i just thought everything was funny, and the next thing I knew, I was awake. But I feel so good right now. I haven't gotten queasy or anything yet and I'm not dizzy at all anymore. My ear isn't even hurting that bad, it's just uncomfortable; kinda feels like I've got stuff draining out of my ear that I can't clean out. Other then that I feel absolutely amazing! Oh, and please excuse the lack of make up, the messy hair, and the hideous shirt in that picture; I look so gross.

Just a quick update..

Hey! I'm just going to post a quick update because I haven't posted in a while and I don't have any pictures to put on. This month has been kinda crazy, what with camp and Cameron coming home and everything.. its been insane. Well, I'm getting surgery on my ear tomorrow, and I'm gonna have bandages around my head so I'll have someone get a picture of that and then I'll post it as soon as I'm up to it and tell all the details. But I just thought I'd let everyone know so they don't think I've disappeared off the face of the earth. =] Wish me luck!

Peekaboo!!

Last night, when sheila was cruising around his tank, I noticed that he was peeking at me through the leaves in his tank. I thought it was so cute so I just thought I'd share.

Haha. I caught jesse sitting like this on the couch one day. It took me only a few seconds to realize that she was looking at Polka. We're watching a leopard gecko for some friends. Jesse just didn't know what she was. It was so funny!

Wow!

Can I just start by saying how INCREDIBLY beautiful Arizona can be? My family and I took a trip to ym aunt and uncle's cabin in Pine, which is just outside of Payson. We went to Flowing Springs [at least, I think that's what it's called] and looked around for a few minutes. Unfortunately, we only got to stay for about 10 minutes, because it was a rainy day, and there was some lightning that pretty close to where we were. However, I DID manage to get a beautiful picture of the little creek that we stopped at during the few minutes we were there. Our trip to Pine, AZ
